I have tried safe mode. That didn't work. I will try a new user profile, but these are all brand new user profiles, so I don't like my chances.

If a local administrator, then Word, Excel work perfectly.
If a local user, then Word/Excel give the following similar error:
AppName: excel.exe AppVer: 12.0.6331.5000 AppStamp:48fa2869
ModName: mso.dll ModVer: 12.0.6320.5000 ModStamp:485ae817
fDebug: 0 Offset: 00cd715e
Based on the fact that it works just fine if logged on as local administrator, my initial workaround is to give administrator privieleges to those who are desperate enough to ened it. However this is not a good solution, as I'm worreid they might shutdown the server accidentally.
I have provided Full Control permissions to c:\program files and c:\msocache in the hopes that would solve the issue but no luck.
I cannot put Outlook 2007 on, as it chews up too many resources and caused it's own issues.
It's possible it's a mso.dll issue, can I upgrade this DLL? If so, how?

e you tried creating a new user profile and seeing if the applications work with the new user? If so, perhaps there is something wrong with you current user profiles?
How are you doing?
