Question

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Help (KB963677)

Asked by: curt2000

500 points to the first person that can supply me a download link for "Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Help (KB963677)".

I'm supplying post service pack 2 updates to my Office 2007 network installation point and this is one of the files I cannot find for some reason.  It appears in Microsoft Updates, but the download link is broken.  Attached are my screenshots.

I need a download to either an EXE or MSP file, not a CAB file.

Thanks Wes,

I had downloaded that file yesterday, extracted the 9 individual MSPs within, and installed outlookhelp-en-us.msp.

For some reason, however, this KB963677 update insists it still needs to be installed leading me to believe that it is slightly newer than what is offered in KB957246.

Thanks,
John

Yup, I downloaded office2007-kb963673-fullfile-x86-en-us.exe previously also.  It extracts to ribbonhelp-en-us.msp.  I've installed that too, but KB963677 keeps appearing.

I can find the file that Microsoft Updates downloads into the C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder, but it stores them as CAB files.

Is there a way to turn a CAB file into an MSP file without tons of work?  That may be another route to go.

-D            Display list of files in source.
Source        Source file specification.  Wildcards may be used.
-F:Files      Name of files to expand from a .CAB.
Destination   Destination file | path specification.

Awesome Wes.  That was EXACTLY what I was looking for.  I probably wouldn't have checked a fourth or fifth time after yesterday and assumed it was just going to be a dead link perpetually.

By watching for this for me you saved me a bunch of time and hassle!  Thanks again!
