yeah been down that road already.. sorry should have included that in my original post. I also took some of the offending DLLs and copied to C:\Windows\System32 but that doesn't help either...

NSIOPM.DLL is in the program files\Canon\Network Scangear directory. If I try to register it I get the error "loaded but DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. File cannot be registered

Add the path to where Network Scangear is installed (generally %programfiles%\Canon\Netwo
Do this by right clicking My Computer, Properties, Advanced System Settings, Environment Variables. In the System Variables, edit the "PATH" variable, append the abovementioned location to the path.
I was having the same issue on a Windows 7 64 bit system. I reinstalled the software on top and still had the error. I then added the path mentioned above, then reinstalled the software a third time and and the error is gone.
