Excel 2010 hangs when opening a file with an initializing places window.
Hey guys,
I have a computer running Excel 2010 and Windows XP SP3.
After doing some updates on the machine, when I click on File->Open, I will get an "initializing places" prompt that just sits there.
I have done some searching and people refer to removing the my places bar, but I do not have it installed on this machine, nor does it show on the "Look in" area.
Microsoft Word just hangs on File-> Open
Any ideas?
