Spell Check still crashing Word 2003 after Office 2003 reinstall.
Zones: Microsoft Word, General Office Suite Software, Windows XP Operating System
Tags: Microsoft, Word, 2003, Spell Check
From a client: "If you hit Tools (to run a spell check for example) it crashes immediately and says Send/ Don't Send (in the 2 boxes) error report"

This is after a repair install failed to correct the problem, followed by a complete reinstall of Office. Any ideas?

Just a thought batcho but try locating and delting the Normal.dot file. For the search make sure that you have "Show hidden files and folders" enabled.
When office is "reinstalled" it does not overwrite (nor delete) this file. If you have a custom dictionary set and delete this file you will lose it. Reboot and test.

When you click on 'Tools' on the tool bar it immediately comes up with a crash report.
