Word 2003 issue saving 2007 docx file

Hi there

I am trying to get the Office 2007 Compatibility pack rolled out for Office 2003. I downloaded all the required hotfixes, extracted them all in a single directory, configured ohotix.ini not to reboot and supress success popups. I also extracted the downloaded fileformatconverters.exe file into the same folder. I then wrote a script that would execute the ohotfix, this installing the relevant updates, followed by installing the 2007 converters. This works fine.

Now to my problem...... excel and powerpoint are able to open a xlsx and pptx file, amend it and save it without any issues. In the case of word 2003, it can open a docx file, however, when you close it and click on yes to save, a popup appears, stating (see attached jpeg):

test.docx may contain features that are not compatible with Plain Text format. Do you want to save the document in this format?
- To save, click Yes.
- To preserve formatting, click No. Then save a copy in the latest Word format.

If I click yes, it saves the document in the docx format. I am worried if anything will break when it comes to complex word documents.

Any ideas why this is happeneing or how to prevent the popup?
