How to Set Default Page Setup Margins

When I open a new document in Microsoft Word 2003 the default page setup margins are set to 1" and 1.25".  I would like to set these defaults to other values.  I did not find information in the Help files.  Can someone instruct me how to do this?

File -> Page Setup -> Margins (tab)

You will have to set them up in the template.
You will probably find it satisfactory to set up the Normal template.
Open the Normal.dot file at the address shown in Tools/Options, File locations tab, User templates.
Set up the margins and save the document.
New documents will shaow the changes.

When you say to "Set up the margins and save the document", I don't quite know what you mean.  When I open it in Word, I change the Page Setup Margin settings and save it, it gets saved as a .doc, not .dot.  Can you please explain the procedure in more detail?  Thank you.

Sorry. It does save for a template for me, but there is an easier way.
Create a new blank document. Go to the Page Setup. Change the margins and press the Default button.

I saw that "Default..." button, but it usually means to "Reset All".  So I did not want to click it to find out.  The button should be labeled, "Save as Default..."  Thanks for the tip.
