Opening a .odt file?

Asked by ESSIMANDT in Microsoft Word

Tags: odt, file

Can anyone tell me how I open an .odt document, preferably in Word 2003?  It seems that this is an OpenOffice format - there is a plug-in which works with "Word 2007" but it doesn't with Word 2003.  How can I open this file or get the text from it if not in Word 2003?  Trying to load the text using Word's "Recover text" option does not work.Start Free Trial
