The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. How to Automatically Replicate one Text Entry in Several Locations in a Document

I wish to enter the date on a cover page of a document and have this date automatically copied in various locations in an MS Word 2007 location.

Conceptually, I imagine defining some piece of text as 'MyTag1' (e.g. select it and somehow give it a definition, similar to giving a cell a name in Excel, or assigning it some sort of Tag name) and then simply being able to copy the Tag 'MyTag1' in several locations in document template where those locations would automatically take on the value of the text defined as 'MyTag1'.  My goal isn't to use AutoText each time I need that tag but to have all instances of 'MyTag 1' in the document, immediately change to the text defined as MyTag1.

I would ike to use this automation feature for more than just dates obviously.

For a date however, deally the date entry should give the choice of using the 'today' date but once this date is created, on subsequent re-openings of the document, it shouldn't automatically change to the new day's date, the user should have the choice to keep the displayed date or accept the day's date or enter his own new date (e.g. user might want to enter a future date such as an anticipated completion date).

How would this procedure be different if the object I was wanting to replicate was an image or a table?
