Cursor does not work with mouse clicks in Word 2007. Why? It works in all other programs.

I have Word 2007 on my personal computer. A few days ago, I got a problem. The cursor does not react to mouse clicks. I can write using the keyboard without problems. But if I want to move the cursor with the mouse, or just highlight a word, the cursor will not move or react. Outside the word document the cursor works perfectly. So there is no problems going in to different menues on Word. It`s just in the word document I am having problems.

The cursor works perfectly in all other programs. I have tried uninstalling Office 2007 and installing it again. The problem is still there. I was thinking that I might have clicked on something to cause this, but when the problem still exists after the new installation, I am at a loss for a new solution.

Try deleting the Word data key.... I think that will fix it for you.

Are you running Vista? If so, I have read of some problems with printer drivers causing problems similar to yours. Try changing your default driver to another printer. If you don't have another printer to choose from, try Image Writer. If this doesn't work, you can try to delete the Word Data registry key. This link tells you how:
