Word document always comes up on second monitor
I have one Word doc open in the main monitor. When I open a second Word doc it opens in the secondary monitor. Not desirable.
I have tried moving the second doc to the main monitor but every time I open a second doc it goes to the secondary monitor.
The following procedure did not work.
This is a brute force approach - in your screen settings disable the second monitor. Start Word and open the document that always appears on the second monitor. It may only appear as a minimized document on your task bar. Right-click the minimized document and select Restore. The document should appear on your primary monitor. Save the document.
Restore the second monitor.

I have two monitors and I find that Word will open to whichever monitor it was on when I last closed the LAST INSTANCE of it.
It will also decide to be Maximized or "Restored?" depending upon what state it was it when it was closed.
I know that there are window managers and/or video cards that can affect this. They create an "affinity" for some applications on particular monitors. Could you have that situation?
