MS Word 2007 gone bonkers

For the last 2 weeks my MS WORD 2007 has been performing strangly. The font indicator says  but the actual font looks to be about 26. It happend after I downloaded a few patches, Word has not been the same since. I tried to fix it and messed up my Normal.dot. I have tried changed the Font defualt but that does not help.
Any suggestions?
