Word 2007 Record Macros Incomplete

Many times Automating MS Word and other MS Office applications, begins with recording macros, that can be extrapolated into automation subroutines or procedures.

In this instance,  I am trying to record a macro in Word 2007 that inserts a picture. Sets the boarder, sizes and positions the image on the page. However the MS Word 2007 record macro function does not capture all of the instructions, and in many cases inhibits the ability to invoke some functions while recording.

Whats up with that? Is there some setting that needs changing or is MS Word 2007 just that jacked up?

Recoded macros are far from perfect. I usually record a macro when I have no idea of how VBA does the job, and then take out the bits that I have learned.

Do you have a specific setting that you are trying to capture?

Insert a picture, set the border style,  size and shadow. Sizes and position the image on the page.

Also need to do the same thing with text. It has to be simple I  may have to go back to Word 2000 or 2003 to get a good record macro.

With the objects you dim'd can I;  
    1) Set the absolute x,y position?
    2) Set the borders style to rounded corners?

Following snippet is what I  had come up with so far;

You need to use a Shape object to have control of the X,Y position. As in 2003, I try to avoid  the Canvas.

I don't know a simple way to round the corners of the shape. It might be possible to create some small white crescent shapes to cover the corners.
