word 2003 crashes

user on a dell workstation, windows xp pro, using office 2003, regularly uses word 2003 and complains that it crashes quite often. the only app that does this. did a repair, still crashed. did an uninstall and re-install. still crashes. excel and ppoint do not have this problem. what to do?

Search for and delete normal.dot for this user.  Sometimes this gets corrupted and can cause problems.

Yes - as soon as you open up Word - if it cannot find one - it will auto-create a new one.
