Save powerpoint in very high resolution

Hi,

I designed a poster in powerpoint. The page size is 48" X 35".
In order to print the poster I need to provide either pdf or jpg file.

I tried the jpg option (Save as in powerpoint). I read several helps about setting the resolution to maximum. However, powerpoint has internal limitation of 3072 pixels (horizonal). This amounts to ~64 dpi ! a very low resolution and very poor image quality.

I tried the pdf option but got lost with all the options in the AdobePDF "Printer". After I managed to set up a new profile, which doesnot compress and maintain 150 dpi, I got an average quality result but the file size was 150 MB!!! I can't email such a thing.

Any idea to work around ?
