Browse All TopicsI have a pdf that was made from a powerpoint file. I have been asked to convert it back to powerpoint. The person had the pdf sent to them. The sender does not have access to the original powerpoint file. The information is not copyrighted the original ppt is just not available. Is it possible to do this conversion?

That's why I was hesitant to publish the link I gave you.
Their "Convert PDF PPT - PPT to PDF Converter Key Benefits' is a little bit misleading : "Convert PDF PPT"

Anyway I dont think it would be easy to do reverse process which will "extract" all custom animations, multimedia plug-ins , character sets , timings , slide order, authors comments and other PowerPoint specific attributes probably lost during conversion of PPT to PDF format.

Depending on how many PPT slides (PDF pages) you have , you might want to manually rebuilt PowerPoint Presentation show/template file by extracting portions/elements from PDF file ( text, backgrounds , charts, borders etc.) It's posible if you have Adobe Reader 7 wich will give you tools like Copy to clipboard ,Copy text or picture an so on , so you can paste it into blank PowerPoint document and recreate PPT/PPS. Later you can rehearse timings , add custom animations, slide trasitions efects etc.
It might be worth giving a try but it would be not just conversion but rather authoring
