I am using Abode LiveCycle Designer 8.0 to create a server saved PDF Form for my sales guys to open and use as a quote sheet that will be sent to customers. I have enabled Reader rights so that they can fill out the form in Adobe Reader 8.1.2 in a Windows 2003 R2 Terminal Services environment and use a "Submit" button to email it to the client.
However when submitted it emails the entire form with editable fields. This defeats the purpose of the form. What I am looking to do is have my sales guys fill out the form and email a flat or non-editable form to the client. They will also need to save a static copy of the form as well.
I have Googled the hell out of this one and come up dry. I am looking for a solution that does not require the use of secondary software or an involved process. Idiot proofing is a MUST!
An ideal solution would end in a single click submit button that flattens the form, e-mails it using Outlook 2003 to a user defined recipient and then prompts the user to save it as a static form. While Im dreaming Id like a pony too.
Is there a way to remove the form fields and leave the entered data for e-mail and saving?
