We have no access to the server at all. This is why we have all his email forwarded and used SYSTOOLS to convert all his Lotus Notes info over to Outlook.

Add Lotus Notes Calendars Appointments to Outlook
Here is my dilemma. My boss has his Lotus Notes emails forwarded through a service (1 &1.com) to his Outlook email client. His emails come through just fine the pickle comes when others send him appointments the they wish for him to answer yay or nay to, in other words whether or not he is going to attend or not.
The problem is he cannot accept in Outlook because all the folks sending appointments are sending it to him via Lotus Notes.
I know this won't be an easy one. So any ideas? I already know about SYSTOOLS. I was thinking about something seamless.

Then I think I misunderstood. I assumed your boss has a Notes account, that your company has a Domino server, and that his mails are forwarded via the Internet to his laptop with Outlook.
I'm now inclined to believe that your boss doesn't have Notes, at that he doesn't belong to the company that runs the Domino server.
AFAIK, if invitations are correctly created by a Domino user, those invitations are correctly sent via SMTP to Outlook.
Here an explanation of how it could work with a different mail client:

Back in 2007, Outlook wasn't intended to support these invitations: "... there is no direct support for schedule and appointment requests ..." and I assume that includes Outlook. See http://support.microsoft.c
It seems you're not the only one:

So my answers would be:
- Outlook doesn't accept Notes invitations
- give your boss a Notes client connected to a Domino server or forward those mails to a mail-client that does accept these invitations
I will need a moment to process the data youve sent me. I wanted to take a moment to clear up my previous statements.
My boss, in fact the entire organization uses Domino servers and Lotus Notes clients. My boss, just prefers Outlook. So we went into his LN client and forward all his email to 1 and 1.com which converts all his domino email to exchange and allows us to send it to not only his outlook clients, but his cell phone etc.
The problem is these calendars appointments. I suppose information doesnt flow bi-directionally.
I will review these options youve given me. Thank you for the input.
If he prefers Outlook, why doesn't he connect to one of your Domino servers via IMAP or POP3??

- a connection from the Internet to the server
- a laptop connected to the Internet

If I were your boss's boss, I'd tell him not to waste time and money on just a personal preference like a mail client. He's got to use Notes. "He prefers Outlook" just isn't a valid business argument.
As a matter of fact, IBM/Lotus stopped further developments of the DAMO product. Microsoft is constantly changing the internals of Outlook, and IBM decided not to put more effort in keeping DAMO releases compatible with Outlook releases.

Seamless would be a direct Notes connection to the Domino server via the Internet, or with a browser to the Domino server via iNotes, or with Outlook directly to the Domino server via POP3 or IMAP. As you see, a direct connection is required, unless he can replicate his mail in some safe place.
Would this be an option??
