You must have a user "administrator", otherwise you will have a problem. The password is setup during the Project Server setup.
Note:
If you setup user accounts on web-access, the user can logon, but is not visible as resource.
If you create a resource in MS Project, the user gets automatically a logon account as team member and is visible as resource.
You can either:
- Logon in web-access with the initial administrator account
- Create at least on single account for yourself with windows authentication
- Assign the roles to need for creating resources (i.e. administrator)
- Setup a MSP server account for yourself and start project
- Add yourself as resource, if you want to be a resource (same username!!!)
or
- Setup a MSP account to logon with the default administrator
- Start MSP
- Add all your resources including yourself (don't forget the additional fields for the email address and Domain\Username)
- Logon into web-access with the administrator account
- Assign the roles, you want to assign to your resources
Also note:
If you have setup a resource, you can not revert this resource to a user, which can logon, but is not visible as resource (without hacking the database).

Hello Tushar,
Before you can log into Project Web Access (PWA) you have to set up a user account on the project server. This is done by connecting to PWA with administrative priveledges and using the PWA | Admin | Manage Users and Groups | Add User page. The Windows User Account needs to be entered as Domain\UserName where Domain is name of your local windows domain.
If you then open a new Internet Explorer window and connect to PWA, you should be logged directly into your PWA | Home page.
Have you (or an authorized PWA administrator) created your PWA user account?
Are you using domain (windows ) authentication on your local area network?
Are you logging onto the workstation you are using with a domain user account and password?
If you log into another workstation with your domain user account and password, do you experience the same difficulties when you access PWA?
