Resource time per day

I have got an issue as follows:

I have got a resource which is working on two tasks conccurently over the same 30 day time period
In resource usuage it shows that this person is doing 16 hrs per day
I want Project to split this into 4 hours per day for each task so the resource works a total of 8 hrs per day

How do I do this?
