Hello,
I'm getting stuck with this one, so any assistance would be very helpfull. The problem description is below.
When trying to access the cube on the project server through PWA, the users in the local offices get the following error message:
-Errors in the OLE DB provider. Could not connect to the redirector. Ensure that the SQLBrowser Service is running on the 'SERVERNAME server'
-Errors in the OLE DB provider. An error occured while name instance information was being retrieved from the SQL Browser service on the 'SERVERNAME' server.
When I test the necessary ports (TCP/UDP) for the application, all ports on the server are reachable from the all the local sites. The name of the server can be resolved to an IP address.
In the datacenter on a Terminal Server or on a client through VPN the cube is working perfectly.
A test through VPN and a local office has been done with the same test machine with the same settings.
I'm starting to think this is a network issue, but has anyone seen this before?

I have changed the behavior of the Analysis server to work over HTTP.
Now a authentication request is send to the internet explorer and pops up in a box.

I have progressed a bit with this issue today. When selecting Data Analysis a NetBios broadcast is send to locate the domain controller of the domain to authenticate after contacting the SQL Browser service.
Since there is no domain controller on the LAN, the request times out and the error message comes up.
I have tried to get this to work with a LMHOSTS file, but that didn't succeed. The broadcasts dissapear, but it does not authenticate properly.
Any suggestion is more than welcome
