Check box

I have almost resolved the previous issue with the colors.  This question is about the check box.  How do I use a check box to clear a task in Microsoft Project?

What do you mean by "clear a task", what would you like to happen when the box is checked?

I would like checking the box to have the effect of completing the task.  Then it could be filtered out by choosing to filter active tasks only.  Thanks for the assist.

Yep, that's a little cumbersome at times.  What I need is a check box that does it.  It certainly seems an odd thing to leave out of a task list.  I seem to remember someone having done it once in an earlier version even.  I'll try and get some additional attention here.
Thanks!
