Hi, there are 5 people on my team who work closely together on different projects however we are all in separate offices.

There are several tasks that need to be completed each day and new tasks always arise throughout each day. It is difficult to manage who has the responsibility for each task. Is there any such software that you can run across a network, that will allow a manager to delicate tasks on a list.

I would like the software to run constantly in the background and then each user can access it by clicking a little arrow on the side of the screen and then the list slides out. If a user is assigned a new task, then it could pop up like the notifications on MSN.

This might sound a little far fetched but i reckon there must be something similar to this out there, can anyone help
