I have 2 users who are using adobe acrobat 7 fully updated and they are having similar issues. First they both are receiving this error when they open adobe. "The organizer database is damaged and will be reset the next time Acrobat is launched. Quit the application and close any current opened web browsers." I have applied the fix of deleting the Organizer folder and then repairing the installation and the error always resurfaces within the next couple of days.
Next issue is that they are setting tool bars to display and then locking them and they are not staying in place. I will set both the Commenting and Drawing Markup Tool bar to show and then open another instance of adobe and they are not there. Here is the path to show the toolbars. Tools>commenting>show>comm
enting toolbar, drawing markup toolbar
Third and last issue; We have software that allows us to open multiple instances of adobe(its called CCH engagement which is a document management software) and the users will open a couple of instances of adobe and be working on them for 30 minutes to an hour and when they go to open a 3rd instance an message about document recovery pops up and says that it was able to recover the following documents. The docs that it is recovering are the documents they have been working on and have not closed out.
I have tried repairing installations, different patch levels, and all fixes I could find from the adobe KB. The rest of our firm is using adobe 6, and everything is working fine but the 2 that have adobe 7 needed it for a specific feature to work in our tax software and downgrading it (which I wish I could do right now) is not an option.
Thanks for any help in advance.
