Shared Excel file - Document not saved.

Last week Charlotte found that she was no longer able to save a shared Excel spreadsheet which was about 6MB in size. It just said "Document not saved". Sometimes it says that the disk is full (for some unkown reason). There are five users that share this spreadsheet. None of the others were having a problem. Charlotte had hitherto had no problems. We had them all close this document so that no-one had it open. We then had copied it to a different name. Charlotte was then able to open it and save it.
Charlotte has just had this problem again. This time the aforementioned procedure did not do the trick. I have also tried copying the worksheets one by one (there are 3 of them) to another workbook (that wasn't shared). Still Charlotte cannot open it. If Charlotte logs onto someone else's PC (someone who can save the Excel file) as Charlotte then she still cannot save the spreadsheet.
It seems that all Domain users have access to the file. Their permissions appear to be everything apart from "Full COntrol".

Does anyone have any ideas please?
