Adding calculated field in a pivot table

I have a pivot table that sums the number of envelopes sent and the number of envelopes late.
This data is grouped by year, month, center num and center name.
I would like to add a field to calculate the % of envelopes sent late.
So if 463 envelopes were sent and 22 were late then the percentage of late envelopes is 4.75%.

However, when I use the % of total I get a value of 7.94%

These are the steps I am taking from the PivotTable Wizard:
Drop the Late Envelopes field into the data field
Double click the Sum of Late Envelopes field
From the Show data as drop down box I select % of total
Click Ok
Click OK
Click Finish

I dont know why Im getting 7.94%?
Suggestions are greatly appreciated.
