Add Page Numbers to Excel Workbook Sheets with VBA

I need help writing a VBA application to add print numbers to worksheet in an Excel workbook.  The workbook will have many sheets.  Most sheets are only one page, but this is not always the case.  How I see the application working is I need to determine how many worksheet are in the workbook.  We could then write code to fill-in the page footers with the proper page numbers.  

If someone could help with the basic code needed, I should be able to modify and finish the application.

Any ideas or comments on how to approach this project are welcome.
