The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Calendar or scheduling software sollution required for school

Seeking a software solution for the following:

I work at a school where, currently, proposed events, fixtures, sports matchs, drama performances, etc are put onto an excel spreadsheet.  When these are confirmed, they are cut and pasted onto a word document as a school term calendar, which is sent to the printers to be printed out on A6 portrait folded cards.

What I'm looking for is an application (open source or purchased) which is easy to use, allows multiple events on each page, and has the facility to export to, or print to the following layout:

The format for the listings is as follows:

MONTH
(TAB SPACE) Day (TAB) Date No. (TAB) Item 1 detail
                                                                  Item 2 detail (if required)
                                                                  Item 3 detail (if required)
For example:

SEPTEMBER
      Sun      7      Term begins for Boarders 7.00 p.m.
      Mon      8      Term begins for Day-children 8.30 a.m.
      Fri      12      House Football
      Sat      13            School A U11 & U13 Football (H)

The ability to be server based and update to the school website would be desirable, but is not at all essential.  Data entry needs to be easy due to the IT level of the users - but the rest can be done by an IT professional.

Any help or ideas for software applications which might achieve this would be greatly appreciated!
