How to Add a GUI to a MS Excel File

I have an excel spreadsheet that I need to add a pretty GUI to in order for it to display details by searching on a particular field or fields.

Is this a relatively straightforward task? Can someone please inform me how to approach this or merely point me in the right direction as I have never attempted to do this before.
