Custom Bullet & Number Lists

Hello Experts,

I have watched many tutorials on creating bullets & numbered lists, but none have showed me the certain type of bullet I want.

For example...

I guess I want a cross between and bullet AND numbered list.

For each of my paragraphs, I would like there to be a colored circle, (basically a LARGER sized normal default bullet). And then inside that bullet, I'd like to have the number.

Does that make sense?

Please keep in mind, I am a beginner to InDesign. (Only started using it today...) So if you answer my question, please be VERY specific & don't assume I know anything about the program.

Both Zapf Dingbats and Wingdings have characters similar to what you describe. However, I doubt there is a way to get InDesign to automatically use them. You can access them manually from the Glyphs window in InDesign. In InDesign CS2, that window is found under Window > Type & Tables > Glyphs. Once the Glyphs window is on the screen, you can change the font at the bottom of the window to either font, then double-click the symbol you want to insert that symbol wherever the cursor is located.
