I'm trying to create a trifold Catalog in InDesign CS3. Is there a way to create 2 different page sizes within the same document. The first 2 panels are 10" tall by 7" wide and the third panel is 10" tall by 6.75" wide. In the past I have just used three 10 x 7 pages and made a guide for myself, but I want to know if it's possible to create the pages the appropriate size. One alternative that I've already tried is to just create one 10 x 20.75 page and create columns in the appropriate areas, but this doesn't allow me to get printer marks for the folds, and also won't allow me to print out each panel individually on letter size paper for my own proofing. Does anyone know if what I'm trying to do is possible?
I don't think you can make different size pages in one document.
You should be able to use the 10 x 20.76 page size and create Registration color rules for your fold marks. Not sure why you are having problems, but you might try laying a guide on the fold, creating a rule that bleeds off the top and bottom at least a half inch, then lay a white bar over top that k/o s the rule thoughout the body and 1/8" of the bleed so that your registration only shows up outside the 1/8" of bleed.
Or you could use the same method with the 10 x 7 pages only on the page that needs to be 6.75".
