File Open Menu does not appear

Hi,
In InDesign when I go to File - Open, the  Window to Choose a File appears very briefly and then disappears. I cannot do anything after that except ctrl-alt-del to close the program. InDesign was working well all day and then this just happenedStart Free Trial
