Not able to open existing documents in InDesign due to 'missing plug-ins'

Asked by katywebster1 in Adobe InDesign Publishing Software, Page Layout / Desktop Publishing Software, Adobe Pagemaker Publishing Software, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite

Tags: Adobe, InDesign, cs2

I am no longer able to open documents I created a few months ago in InDesign. An error message flashes up to say that it is 'missing plug-ins'. However, I can still create new documents. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but the problem still persists.

I am a relatively new Mac/InDesign user so would appreciate it if you could talk me through step by step.

Thanks!
