Adobe Reader 9 is installed for viewing documents from the web that are not supported in 6.0.

We had same problem, being prompted to "print to file" in Adobe Reader v9 (with Acrobat Standard v6 also installed). I knew there was a 'Print to file' check box "somewhere" (as the ACTDude suggested) but it seemed to have disappeared, not there! I cleaned up some temp files (~*.*, *.tmp) and rebooted and the 'Print to file' box auto-magically reappeared under Print (Ctrl+P). I then unchecked the box, the prompt went away and I was able to print to the physical printer.

Have you gone into add/remove programs and attempted a repair of both 9.0 and 6.0? That may help.
