Question
Print Booklet in Indesign CS4
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to use the "Print Booklet" feature in Indesign CS4. In prior versions of ID, i.e back in CS2, there was an option to create a separate Indesign file after the imposition was done, but there isn't this option in CS4.
Can someone tell me if there is any workaround? Why wasn't this feature included in CS4?
Appreciate any help.

The Adobe link does not solve the problem that one cannot save a PDF with the desired imposition. What if the printer cannot open CS4 documents?
Lots of people are complaining. Right now, the only work around is go back to the good old CS way, bind in your Page menu... for example, for saddle stitched booklet, bind first and last page together, second and second last page.... it will help to draw a diagram on paper first...

I can only guess that Adobe want EVERYONE to buy CS4, so no print jobs for mom&pop shop? You can go to Adobe's website and add your request for feature updates.
In Adobe forum, there is a solution posted. http://forums.adobe.com/me
File > print booklet > print settings > Printer > (choose Adobe PDF as Printer) then Select PDF > Save as PostScript > Save
The output will be saved with a .ps extension. Open this file with Acrobat Pro, and save into PDF. The result is very clean, but the extra steps are annoying.
