This may be a really stupid question.. but I am a new InDesign user - and a hardcore Adobe Pagemaker 7.0 user. I am beginning to like the InDesign.. however I can't seem to find how to fill a box. I realize that is stupid.. but I have a text box.. that I drew a line around.. I need it to be filled with white so that I can see the text and actualy put it over something else and not have it show through. Any help would be appreciated. I can't even figure out how to draw a new box.. and fill it with blue. THANKS. Sorry it is so dumb.

Here are pictures to illustrate what I was saying.
Image 01: I put a blue rectangle on my page so my white text box would show up. As you can see, I drew my text box on top of the blue rectangle, but it has no fill yet.
Image 02: My text box is still selected. In my Swatches panel, I click the "fill" icon at the top, then I click my [paper] swatch. This puts a white fill on the text box.
Image 03: With my text box still selected, I click the "stroke" icon in the Swatches panel, then I pick a swatch color for the stroke.
Image 04: The default stroke width is 1point, so to change that I go to my Stroke panel and increase or decrease it.

To draw a text box, use the Type tool and drag out a rectangle.
To fill the text box with white, select your text box using the Selection tool (black arrow), then open your Swatches panel (by hitting f5, or clicking Window>Swatches). In this panel, you can control the color of the Fill and Stroke. You want to put a white Fill on the text box, so click the icon at the top of the window for Fill, then pick the [Paper] swatch. As long as your text box is selected, it should now have a white fill.
