I'm compiling a Product Catalogue Using Indesign CS4.
-I designed a template in Indesign
-Then using XML i imported data into the template
and this looks great now I'm only trying to figure out if
I can set conditional format for a couple of text fields
What i have is, on the side of the of every page there is bookmarks
saying the product category, and i would like to have the category Hightlighted
if it exists on the page.
I Attached a sample picture of the page,
In the sample Mazda and Nissan are highlighted meaning that if the user
turns to this page he will see Mazda & Nissan categories there.

InDesign offers conditional text, not conditional formatting;
You could however, either a) create buttons in flash for the sidebar menu that offer you mouse over effects, or b) even animated gifs in photoshop, either will allow mouse events when you publish a pdf, but won't be clickable in InDesign;
