A user is printing to the Distiller through PageMaker, however when the window pops up where you put in the filename, the default value that is in there is a converted format of the full path of the file. For example let's say the file was located at X:\PL\QP\dec.pdf, when trying to Distill the same file again, the default file name comes up as X__PL_QP_dec.pdf. This is unacceptable to the client as all the other machines in the office come up as My Documents\dec.pdf. I've opened the Distiller program and checked the settings there, the Printing Preferences of the Distiller as a printer, PageMaker and Acrobat settings, but I can't find anything where this setting can be changed. One thing that I do notice is that this user uses version 8 of the distiller and Acrobat, and the other users use version 6. Is that a change from version to version and can't be changed by the user?
