i did receive a Cad drawing with Macro, when i opened the drawind i didn't see any macro, could you explain that
i have autocad 2006 with xp pro.

i did read the help before asking this question...im asking because i did receive a drawing with macros, so by opening this drawing i ve been asked to enable or disable macro...
but in the drawing i didn't see any macro when i enable macro...??
any idea....do you know how that work??...could it be a virus as mentioned in the help or i shall check for a marco...??

you wont see a macro in the drawing gui. Its a program that is only viewable in the vba editor. (alt+f11). Like dhs said you shouldnt run macros unless you trust the source. I'd go into the vba editor and delete it all if I was you, and if its from somebody you get dwgs from all the time, I'd send them a friendly email and ask them to remove them before they send it.
IMHO, attaching a macro to specific dwgs is bad form, for this reason, but thats just me ;)
That runs code when you go to save the specific dwg.

I would just delete it and see if it clears up the message. Make sure there are no other modules or anything in the particulare drawing in the vba editor, if so delete them too. You should be ok to do this since you arent using the macros anyway.

There is many other modules wich look the samething (like Begin Close or Save...etc..)
i don't know how that work, it should be codes related to other application or macro?? if this is useful i would like to use it...if not, when i did extract it asks to remove the macro from the dawing and save it as .dvb document...

If there is nothing in the location of the "*****" in the code example then the code does nothing:

The "Private Sub.." line is the macro header so to speak and the "End Sub" part tells is just the end of the subroutine.
If there is code there and you dont know what the code does I wouldnt fool with. It may do stuff you dont want. It asks you to save to dvb as a back up. You could do that if you wanted to save the code to look at it later.
If you dont have much experience with vba its better to start out looking in the samples provided with autocad and the develper help files, than trying to decipher someones code. The help files do a better job of explaining stuff than I do, especially lately.
If there is more to it than the header/endsub stuff post some here and we'll take a look at it.

I would recommend you go to the help tab and search the Index with the word "macros" and "VBA". Unless you trust the source of your files you should disable automatic running of macros. This to large of an area of information. See the help files and come back with a more specific question. dhs
