We have to print once or twice a month a couple of large and detailed autocad drawing files. On other software, like corel draw, you can just click on the "mosaic" option in the print dialog box and this is done automaticaly, but I haven't been able to find this option in autocad.
Any ideas?

The previous will allow you to plot a drawing on a small sheet, to the biggest scale possible.

If you have only one item to plot in one given file, still under the 'Plot setting' tab, you will see a section called 'Plot Area'. In this selection, check the 'Extent' option.
If you have multiple plans contained in the same file, in 'Plot Area' section this time select window, and window select the items to be plotted individually.
The rest is pretty standard, select plotting device, paper size ect.
I think what you are referring to is what is known as Map Books in Autodesk Map. Basically the drawing should be very large printed, but you only have letter size printer, so you need to print them in pieces. If you have Autodesk Map this is done by simply setting up a map book and then printing. If you dont, then its a bit more involved. The way Ive done it in the past is to create a layer called PrintBoundary. Then draw some rectangles that are letter size aspect ratio and overlay them onto your drawing. Use these as a guide when you create layouts, so that each rectangle fits into the layout window exactly. When your done, you can turn off the layer and print.
This may seem like a lot of work, but it only has to be done the once and then you just print all the layouts at once whenever you need them. You can even import these layouts into other drawings and use them without alteration if your drawings originate in approximately the same space.

BillPowell I can't understand why Autodesk havn't include the paneles plot. All designing programs have it. Still you should check Sunny-glen option because is very simple and fast.

Sorry, do you mean printing multiple drawing/files all at once, on the same sheet?
Not sure what you are trying to accomplish :o/
