Is there a facility/feature/addon whereby Auto CAD can import a drawing via a XML file. Can it also export a drawing as an XML file?

hey lplayer,
it looks like autocad map 3d 2006 can import/export .xml's the file type is GMl v2(*.gml,*xml) in the file type drop down. Dont know if thats what you are looking for, I've never done it.

Exporting XML Files

" The WBLOCK command exports the current dwg in XML format. In the write block dialog box make the following changes:
Source: Entire dwg
Filename Change extension to XML
Choose OK

Importing XML Files:
Use the insert comand to import a XML file. Alternatively from the menu pick INSERT|Block. In the INSERT dialog box click BROWSE which displays SELECT DWG FILE dialog box. Click the FILES of type dropdown list and select XML. Select the dwg and click open Place the dwg as if you would a block"
