I am training to set up a distributed render farm using Vray 1.5 plugging which is the process of
distributing a single render job within a single frame across many computers in a network
in other worlds is a technique that divide a single frame to be rendered into small regions(buckets) and give each machine to render a number of them. Then get the results and combine them into the final image
I have succesfully manage to get all the network machine to collaborate in the rendering.
My problem is that only the manager computer where the 3ds max file is being render is finding the textural map in the network. the other machine in the network are rendering as if the map where turn off.
I have turn on the "CHECK FOR MISSING FILE" option from on the Vray System rollout.

You have one of two solutions:
ap1.jpg ap2.jpg
Either you can change the map paths on all of your maps to UNC format, e.g.
\\machinewithmaps\d\maps\m
\\machinewithmaps\d\maps\m
etc, so that they all point back to the manager computer
or you can copy all of the maps you need for the render to an identical location on each and every machine in the distributed rendering (or add them all to a bitmap directory that the material manager is aware of)
Also remember, unless I'm mistaken, I think you are limited to 10 machines in your single frame distributed rendering under vray at this time
Hope this helps.
