AutoCad DBCONNECT Failure

Over a week ago the DB group changed a user password, now I have a server with autocad 2006, on launch it runs a customazation called DBCONNECT, shortly after an Oracle ODBC Driver Connect box appears because it cannot connect to the database as the old password is cached, I change the password and it connects, but everytime I launch AutoCad, the same login box come up, I cannot find where to change the password, so this does not come up and it connects automatically.

check the odbc settings in Control panel. There would be DSN defined for Oracle connectivity with username and password stored in it. Change the configuration and update the password.

Thank for the reply, i had done that and there is no place to store the password, someone mention I need to do a sql statement to change it, but I am not that familiar with sql statements and I dont have the syntax? Thank yoou for the info.

Hi Bob,
In Acad pick the tools menu, pick dbconnect. there should be a window that opens up. if the datasource is not expanded where you can see a "database" pick the plus on the left. Right click on the database and in the dialog box that pops up look for the password field, change as required.
