"I am trying and trying and trying to update a Legend and nothing happens. So I try to just use the SELECTION>ADD command and I get -
>> This command is not allowed because the integrity of the Keynote Legend has been
>> compromised.
What the heck does that mean?
I go to the HELP file and like always I find NOTHING!!
More info, I went into the VIEW file where the keynotes are and used the INSPECT OBJECT command to see if the info was still tied to the keynote. NOPE!! I have close to 100 keynotes, I don't have time to RE-KEYNOTE the whole sheet. AUTODESK, WHAT THE IS GOING ON HERE?"

Then I'm at sea; as I said, I haven't used AutoCAD in several years. I did ask the Mods to see if they could find some help, and I do have a buddy who is a member of EE; I'll drop him a note and see if maybe he has an idea.
Unfortunately, though, it looks like there's a bug in the program (maybe that's why Carol Bartz jumped ship to Yahoo, right?) -- so there doesn't seem to be a quick fix. Your client might be stuck too.

bummer.... and yes, I am SURE that is why Carol Bartz went to Yahoo.
My client was told by AutoDesk that the 2009 release fixes the problem... Problem with that is that he just upgraded to 2008 late last year and refuses to pay for another upgrade for a fix that should have worked in the first place. I understand and feel his pain! :-)

It's been several years since I've looked at AutoCAD -- like six or seven -- and in looking around on the web for information, it appears that there's a bug in the program that somehow disconnects your Keynote Legend from the various places it refers to -- so you might just be stuck (yes, I read your thread on the AutoCAD forum) with redoing them.
wthread.ph p?t=64498 that is useful.
I'll ask the Mods to see if they can get you some help, but you might also want to see if there's anything at http://forums.augi.com/sho
