Autocad 2006 - General Configuration

Hi,
I am looking for general configuration guidlines to customise and configure cad06.
I have been given the task of configuring autocad for my workplace and they have less of an idea than i do.  They have cad installed with no customisation what so ever.
I used to work for a company that had customised menu's, drawing templates, different line types, colors, etc.  My Boss used to configure all this for me and now i have changed jobs and its up to me.

Is there any websites or material for general configuration guidlines.  like a how to import and configure menus, change autosave function, plotter setup.  I just need a general guide to get started so i can then delve further and figure out exactly what i need.
