either post the jpg here and/or the ai file and someone may recognise the font. Change ai file ext to .txt with instruction to change to .ai for posting purposes.

You plug in the letters you know and then answer a rather extensive series of questions.
Sadly, many of the interesting fonts are pay fonts, but you may be able to find your font there.
Personally I've always found identifont to be ultimately a frustrating unrewarding experience, All those questions and it never throws up the right font.

Unless the jpg image has meta-data associated with it and the creator entered the font data into it there is no way to do this other then to visually try to find the same font on-line or post the image in a art fonts forum such as http://new.myfonts.com/Wha tTheFont/f orum/
