Adobe Illustrator
This is a label. If you remove the background image, the fish and the black, you will see the template of the label. I want the yellow shading around the X in Xtreme to remain and be on top of the black background to make the X pop. I need to know HOW to do it. What am I missing? Thanks

All the fonts in your doc default, due to lack of having them.
Aside from that it appears that the transparency wrong, it looks like you used a setting that does not produce a result such as 'Multiply' instead of 'Screen'.
You can either recreate this using the correct transparency or more simply release the object to layers.
To do the latter, go to the Layers palette, locate the group with the glow. Then use the little triangle in the top right corner and select 'Release to Layers' then put it back to the correct order be arranging the X to be on top.
Workaround though, but it works
