No...I want to create a new baseline and then I can move the parts over and increase the size by one inch. Sounds dumb, but I can figure out how to get the fixed baseline to be an inch wider. Thanks

Browse All TopicsI am new to Illustrator. Below is a label for a product container. I can edit it, etc...but I do not know how to change the overall size and shape.
This label's current size is 2.25inches x 7.25 inches. I want to enlarge it to 2.25in x 8.25 inches.
If explaining it to me is too long or difficult, if you could direct me to someplace that I can research it, that would be fine.
Thanks!

here is how i will do it,
you have to keep the same height so no need to stretch anything
select your label
goto Transform palette
set the Reference point at the left middle
make sure that Constraitn Height and Width in unlinked
and then give the W to 8.25inches and hit enter
it will push the rectangle to left side as per the referece point
do that same for the top rectangle
and now you can adjust the contents to fit the new size

well that is obviously not a proportional enlargement since one side (2.25) doesn't change. surely you don't want the label 'stretched' do you?
