How do I remove the screen on the text?

In the screenshot attached there shows to be holes in the text. How do I make the text be able to print without the holes?

I'm more comfortable in Photoshop but whichever program is easiest to use, Photoshop or Illustrator, is fine with me.

It would actually be nice to know how to do it in both programs.
