Flash cs4 and Illustrator cs4

Using Flash CS4 I transform a bitmap image into a vector one, then I copy the file and paste it on Illustrator.
If I paste it on Illustrator CS3, I get to keep the layers and the vector image.
If I paste it on Illustrator CS4 I lose the layers, and only get one (bad) bitmap image that looks like the vector image that should have been.
Any idea why, any solution? is it a setting problem?
